Bruno Kenji Okamoto · Software Development

I develop software
and keep learning
about artificial intelligence.

I am pursuing a degree in Systems Analysis and Development and have hands-on software quality experience. In academic projects, I have worked with C#/.NET MAUI, React, and PostgreSQL; I am currently expanding my knowledge of Java, Python, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity.

Professional experience

Software quality
in practice.

PDVx Tecnologia

A cloud-based commercial automation platform for retail and food service.

Software Quality Intern

I validate PDVx across different devices and document product updates. When I find a problem, I investigate the conditions in which it occurs, share the evidence with the QA team and retest the fix to confirm the expected behavior.

  • Functional testingInstalling and validating the software on smartphones, tablets, computers, and smart terminals to verify compatibility and expected behavior.
  • InvestigationReproducing bugs across different scenarios and environments to identify the conditions that trigger them, including layout issues.
  • ValidationReporting evidence to the QA team, tracking fixes and retesting them to confirm the expected behavior.
  • DocumentationTechnical notes explaining new interfaces, fields, features and workflows step by step for support teams and customers.

FitShare and StudyFlow show my work across requirements, data modeling, development, documentation, and validation.

FitShare

A mobile prototype focused on health and accessibility for older adults, people with disabilities, and people with lower fitness levels. I worked on the project from requirements analysis through user validation.

My contribution
Requirements, software engineering, prototyping, front-end, back-end, and documentation.
Engineering
Requirements analysis and UML class, use-case, and sequence diagrams.
Implementation
Built with C# and .NET MAUI, using in-memory data structures because the project did not allow a database.
Validation
Partnerships with Grupo Maior Idade and Studio Moving Saúde helped the team plan workouts and evaluate the prototype.
Outcome
Presented at the Acelera event at Fatec Cruzeiro; aligned with Sustainable Development Goals 3 and 10.

StudyFlow

A team-built study application with a web interface, a PostgreSQL database, and ESP32 integration. I worked on data modeling, the shared development environment, engineering documentation, and parts of the front-end.

Database
Conceptual and logical data models in BRMW (brModelo), followed by DDL and SQL code for PostgreSQL.
Environment
A Docker container with PostgreSQL ensured that the entire team used the same database version.
Engineering
Contributed to requirements analysis and created UML use-case and class diagrams.
Front-end
Implemented parts of the prototype with React.
